Yamaha IT175 and IT200 1982 to 1986 Front Sprocket Crankcase Guard Cover 5X9-15431-00

It seems from our research that this cover was used on the South African versions of the ITs, while the rest of the world used the other cover. Not sure about Australia, as they often got the same versions that SA did at the time.

Remanufactured from original cast mould using Sika epoxy resin. Stainless Steel bush moulded with the product. Mounting hole area has been strengthened compared with the original.

FITS MODELS

• 1982 (IT175J): The final evolution of the 175cc engine featuring a 171cc air-cooled two-stroke power plant, YZ-derived Mono-cross rear suspension, box-section aluminium swingarm, and a 6-speed wide-ratio gearbox.
• 1983 (IT175K): Featured more angular, boxy bodywork styling matching Yamaha’s updated cross-country lineup, a revised Mono-cross linkage, and final year for the 175cc displacement class.
• 1984 (IT200L): Yamaha replaced the IT175 by expanding displacement to 195cc to maximize the class limit (126cc–200cc). Stroke was lengthened from 50mm to 57mm (retaining the 66mm bore) and fitted with the Yamaha Energy Induction System (YEIS) boost bottle for improved low-end torque.
• 1985 (IT200N): A carry-over model nearly identical to the introductory 1984 IT200L, maintaining mechanical simplicity and drum brakes front and rear.
• 1986 (IT200S): The final and most sought-after iteration of the IT series, receiving a major performance upgrade with a YZ-derived front hydraulic disc brake, concluding production of the IT line by 1987.
