Many years ago I was building my first VMX restoration, which was a 1987 KX250 – the bike was known to be quick that year, which made me proud. The thing I did not even look at, was that the 1987 year, was all alone in compatibility parts with other models, for some reason, they build that engine and then changed it the following year, so parts were scarce and pricy.

I ended up needing the KiPS badge and could not find one – anywhere. So I had it designed and laser etched and used it, with great success. I had another 5 made and advertised them on eBay, and they all sold. That began our idea of producing parts that we could remake from scratch to keep vintage bikes rolling.

Next were the tank grommets for the 1983 KTM 504 – which we had one, but needed two, we cast a mold and then cast what we needed, then advertised and got orders for that as well.

Suzuki PEs have become my VMX race bikes, so we have quite a few products for the Suzuki PE, RM and RS range.

The basis, is to continue building more products that are not easily available, so we can assist other VMXers to get their builds finished, looking good and functional. We are open to ideas, so send us an email if you have any ideas.

Looking forward to interacting with you!

  1. I live in the United States in the state of Tennessee. I restore vintage MX bikes and just recently completed a total restoration on a 1978 Suzuki PE 250. I have been restoring bikes for many years and have a list of over 30 suppliers I have developed for locating hard to find parts. Unfortunately, I still could not find a front sprocket cover for the PE, not even a used one. After many months of searching I located a new one from Malcom Pearson (Max Bike Products) and I ordered it. It only took 4 weeks for delivery and the part is awesome. Fits perfect and looks great and the price was very fair. I will definitely reach out to them again when I am unable to find parts in the U.S. The customer service was also prompt and friendly.

    1. Thank you Phil, it has been a pleasure dealing with you, keep up the good work with the bike restorations.
